Senator Moore and Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) announced that Governor Charlie Baker recently signed a bill into law relative to the Upton Town Manager.  The bill, H.4989, was filed by both legislators in response to a vote taken by local residents during the Special Town Meeting on November 13, 2018.

Senator Moore welcomed Jen Shannon of Stoneham to the State House as part of an office internship opportunity.  Jen is interning within Senator Moore’s State House Office two days each week throughout the winter college break.

Senator Moore provides commentary regarding a bill he filed that would enhance wildlife protections and strengthen penalties against poaching in the Commonwealth.  The bill passed the Senate unanimously earlier this year but has yet to receive full approval from the bicameral legislative body.

Senator Moore and Harriette L. Chandler (D-Worcester) announced that the Massachusetts State Senate adjourned today’s legislative session in memory of fallen Worcester Firefighter Christopher Roy. 

Senator Moore was appointed by Senate President Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland) to serve on a Special Commission to study the cost and feasibility of exempting Massachusetts veterans from tuition, fees and associated costs of attending public colleges and universities in the Commonwealth.

Statement by Sen. Moore regarding Firefighter Christopher Roy who passed away in the line of duty. Firefighter Roy was assigned to Ladder 4 at the Webster Square Fire Station in Worcester.   At 3:58 in the morning of December 9, 2018, he responded to a 5-alarm house fire that claimed his life.

Goldberg, and in partnership with People’s United Bank.  The event will highlight information about financial education and security, and discuss how local residents can protect themselves from fraud.

Senator Moore announced that Wirefab, Inc. received a manufacturing award for their innovative and dynamic manufacturing processes.  As a member of the Legislature’s Manufacturing Caucus, Senator Moore nominated Wirefab for the statewide recognition earlier this year.
