Moore, LeBoeuf Announce Leicester Infrastructure Grant

Senator Moore and Representative David H.A. LeBoeuf (D-Worcester) announced that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation has awarded the Town of Leicester funding to assist with muti-modal and accessibility improvements. A total of $335,748 was awarded to the community through the Complete Streets Funding Program.

Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) announced that Governor Charlie Baker recently signed a bill into law relative to the Upton Town Manager.  The bill, H.4989, was filed by both legislators in response to a vote taken by local residents during the Special Town Meeting on November 13, 2018.

Senate Acts to Extend Unemployment Insurance for Locked-out Workers

Senator Moore announced that the Senate passed legislation to extend unemployment benefits for locked out National Grid workers for up to 26 additional weeks, or until National Grid workers are no longer locked out, whichever comes first. The benefits would be part of the existing unemployment insurance system.
