Shelly MacNeill
Chief of Staff

Shelly MacNeill started her career at the Massachusetts State House in 1994 as a legislative aide in the House of Representatives prior to being elevated as Chief of Staff for Senator Pamela Resor (D-Acton) who retired from the State Senate in 2008.

Shelly subsequently served as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators where she advanced initiatives to enhance the economic status and equality of women.  

When Senator Moore first took office in 2009, Shelly joined the Senator's Team and was later appointed to the position of Chief of Staff in 2010.  In this capacity,  Shelly manages office personnel, coordinates special projects, and oversees the Senator’s schedule.

Shelly currently resides with her family in the Town of Stoneham where she remains an active member of the local community.  Shelly served on the Stoneham School Committee from 2007-2017 and currently serves as a member of the Board of Selectmen and Chair of the Stoneham Substance Abuse Coalition.
