Dear Friend,

The beginning of 2023 kicks off a brand new legislative session, and my team and I have been hard at work crafting a legislative agenda that responds to the needs of local residents while also tackling overarching issues facing the Commonwealth as a whole. I’m proud to share that I’ve filed 88 pieces of legislation to help make Massachusetts a better, more affordable, and more equitable place.

Key pieces of my legislative agenda include bills that update Massachusetts’ regulations for people with disabilities, advance children’s eye care, change the Commonwealth’s cybersecurity protocols to respond to threats of the future, and eliminate toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” from food packaging and firefighter gear. I also hope to tackle the cost-of-living crisis, institute tax reforms, and strengthen environmental protections — among so many other vital issues — during the coming term.

In the next few weeks, newly filed legislation will be referred to legislative committees for review. Additional information regarding each of the bills I filed is below. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, or if my office may be of assistance to you.

Sincerely,

MICHAEL O. MOORE
State Senator
Second Worcester District
